About your room
Huntington Hospital offers semiprivate and private rooms, though private rooms are limited. We make every effort to accommodate private room requests. Please note that if a private room is requested and received, there is an extra charge that is not reimbursed by insurance.
We offer television service in patient rooms for free. Complimentary wireless access (also available in visitor lounges and food service facilities) is provided. Cell phones and other wireless devices may be used by patients and visitors in patient rooms. However, to promote a restful environment, we ask that all cell phones be placed on vibrate.
For your safety, any electrical or medical devices brought from home are required to be inspected by our engineering team. Examples include:
- CPAP machines
- Electric razors
- Hair dryers
- Radios
However, some items are not permitted:
- Fans
- Personal heaters
Personal items
Each patient will have a small, unlocked area to store personal items. Please note that:
- The hospital is not responsible for lost or broken items unless these items were taken into our care, custody and control.
- The hospital does not accept responsibility for items of value unless they are stored using the envelopes for valuables, and the receipt is initialed appropriately. If you lose something, please notify your nurse right away, and we will make every effort to help you find it.
